Photography is my key to the secret garden. This process has become a part of me, allowing me to compose at will in a fraction of a second. Photographing fills me with a sense of accomplishment and integrity, and has proven a most satisfying medium.
The photographs are about shape, texture, light and color, subject being secondary.
This focus has provided many opportunities for spontaneity and grace to influence the finished product. Every day has a different light, and, as a result, a different feeling. For me, the photograph captures that feeling definitively.
Susan Mancini is a graphic designer and photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. Susan resides in Westchester, New York with her husband and daughter.
